Description

DESCRIPTION

Kosynka is a simple triangular scarf that makes a truly timeless accessory. It can cover your head and neck and pairs effortlessly with any outfit for any occasion. This pattern is a reinterpretation of a traditional accessory once worn by my Ukrainian grandmothers.

The pattern can be knitted with different yarns and gauges, so there’s no limit to your creativity here and a lot of room to use your scraps.
I’ll share my favourite versions here: three sizes for a simple merino version and one bonus melange version.
WORKFLOW
The scarf is worked flat in two steps: increasing the work and then decreasing.
This pattern includes a description of basic steps and techniques that apply to all versions. You will find the yarn, needle size, and gauge recommendations separately for each version.

SKILL LEVELBeginner friendly - there's one tricky increase to master, but there's a video tutorial on how to master it in the pattern. Having a good feeling of your knitting tension will help.
